Pizza Hut and Blinkbox get together

Pizza Hut Delivery links up with blinkbox.com to offer the complete night in.
Pizza Hut Delivery is partnering with blinkbox.com, the online film and TV aggregator, to offer discounted films when customers order a delivery. The collaboration, conceived and created by Pizza Hut's retained digital agency, Blue Barracuda, will offer Pizza Hut customers the chance to stream films such as 'Gran Torino' and Ridley Scott's 'Body of Lies' online, from the comfort of their own home.
Customers will be able to choose from a selection of eight films from a Pizza Hut and blinkbox.com co-branded website, starting from £2.12 including the discount. The films, which range from the latest releases to old classics, will change on a weekly basis.
Blue Barracuda has created an online marketing campaign to promote the offer to Pizza Hut Delivery's audience of 18-30 year old, predominantly male, film enthusiasts and gamers. The campaign will include email marketing to Pizza Hut's existing database and onsite banner activity using movie-clip themed creative.
Murray Willows, Chief Marketing Officer at Pizza Hut explains: "We're always looking for innovative new ideas to help us to reach our core demographic. Our customers love our wide range of freshly made pizzas and pastas, delivered oven hot to their door, and we're confident that this partnership will help them create the perfect, relaxing night in."
Martin Talks, CEO of Blue Barracuda, adds, "People want a night in, with food, drinks and entertainment but don't want to cook themselves. Combining an oven-hot pizza with instant video streaming is a quick and simple way to give customers a complete night in with minimum hassle."
