To publicise UKTV Gold's When Were We Funniest, we created a quiz in Excel - not a format often associated with viral. But everyone has it and .xls files never get stuck in firewalls! And we made a benefit of the copyright issues on photography by illustrating all the characters ourselves, which was much funnier. A clue to how far this little fishy has travelled is the 10,333 people who clicked through from the quiz to the website in the first month.

GLAZED AND AMUSED

Everyone knows barracuda love doughnuts. So when we heard that dunking legends Krispy Kreme were coming to the UK we resolved to give them the website they deserved.

We realised the stars of the show were the doughnuts themselves - so we gave them their own site. It's silly, but it works. Now people write us stories about their favourite doughnut, can find their nearest store, participate in fundraising and generally spread the good doughnut news that Kripsy Kremes are taking over the UK.
